Julia Reserve boasts a number of employment support programs for local young people. Youth employment is one of the five strategic priorities of the Camden Youth Strategy. As such, Julia Reserve strives to provide easy access to a multitude of employment supports.

Disability Employment Support - Wise Employment

The Disability Employment Support program, delivered by Wise Employment is a program that supports people with diverse backgrounds to find meaningful work. The Wise Employment team operate from Julia Reserve on Wednesday and will;

  • Help you identify your goals, strengths and skills
  • Assist you with your resume and letter writing
  • Coach you in interview techniques
  • Speak to employers on your behalf
  • Organise workplace training
  • Provide support after you start your job
  • Find an interpreter if required
  • Organise workplace modifications or special equipment

Get Back in the Game - Yourtown

The Get Back in the Game program is delivered by the Yourtown Sydney South West team and is funded by the Department of Education. This program provides young people aged 15-19 training, workshops, individualised one-on-one support and more to assist their employment goals. Transition to Work - OCTEC 

Transition to Work (TTW) is a service funded by the Australian Government that provides assistance to young people aged 15-24 years who are not in employment or education. The service provides intensive, pre-employment support to improve the work readiness of young people and to help them into work (including Apprenticeships and Traineeships) or education. It has a strong focus on helping young people to understand what is expected in the workplace and to develop the skills, attitudes and behaviours expected by employers.
